Middle School Journal Drive

Sydney and Samantha ~ Very Pleased!!

350 Journals collected and sorted.

There will be a journal drive at the Winneconne Middle School from February 4th through the 22nd.  All home room classes have donation boxes in place and there will be a friendly competition to see which home room class can collect the most journals.  Winners will be awarded "positive difference" dog tags.

Any member of the community is welcome to donate a journal at the Middle School or contact the girls at their email address writetorecover@gmail.com to arrange drop off.

Samantha and Sydney would be happy to accept cash donations as well.  On February 2nd, the girls cleaned out supplies at Target and Office Max purchasing 44 more journals for a total of 63 journals collected to date.  The project still has $89 to spend on additional journals once the stores restock their selves!  This money was collected at the Winneconne Holiday Faire.

350 Journals collected!  Thank you!!

  1. The middle school drive is going well. The sixth grade class has pulled into the lead over the 7th and 8th grades. Mrs. Salm's homeroom has over 50 collected and some of the other classes have collected over 20. We are hoping that the 7th and 8th grade classes will begin to participate and catch up to the 6th grade classes.

The ideal journals can be purchased at Walmart or Target in the office supply area. Small, decorative notebooks with flowers on the cover can be purchased for as little as $2 and other journals with colorful magnetic covers cost only $4. These are the types of journals we purchase with donated funds.

Every donation makes a positive difference in the lives of victims of this horrible crime. Please help aid victims in their recovery.

    Thank you.
